Jo walked into the classroom. The other students rolled their eyes. The room was filled with muggle inventions, from toasers to model cars. "Late? Again? That will have to be a detention, Miss Ottina. Have you finished the homework?" Asked Professor Burbage "Yes, I read the book, Professor. But I have a detention with Professor Snape this evening at eight." "My dear, is there ever a day without you having a detention?" She sighed. "Six thirty. It'll be lines, shouldn't take too long. No, you can't use your self-writing quill, you'll do this with a 'pen'. Its A kind of muggle quill." "Class, please turn to page three hundred and ninety-two, and read the first three paragraphs on inventions muggles use as a subsitute for magic, Then copy the notes down off the board" She flicked her wand, and the notes appeared. "On electricity. I want 12 inches of parchment on electricity and why muggles need to use it." They all started to do so. "Who can tell me the use of a 'Play-Station'?" She asked |

Matt walked in quietly and sat down next to Jo. He caught what Professor Burbage had said and stuck his hand up. "It is used for entertainment in the muggle world, you can use it talk over the muggle internet, play games with stunning graphics, and you can have a great fun with muggle friends if you own one." |

"Correct" Said Professor Burbage. Jo started scribbling down about electricity. She already knew half of this, her mother being Muggle-born. She started on her essay. She went through all different aspects, entertainment, communication, work, education. "Hey, do you know what else I can mention in my essay?" She asked Matt. |

Jo giggled at his smile, and smiled back. "Thankyou. It'd be way easier if mum were at school... She's muggle-born..." Jo couldn't help but notice Matt more than she should. No, you're taken.already her brain said firmly. Her hand shot up at Burbage's question about TellyFones. "They let muggles talk to eachother while they are a long distance away. Kind of like floo powder, I guess...." "Very good. Ten points to hufflepuff. Now, of course they use electricity to operate..." |

"Hmmm... I guess I should be used to this stuff, Mum has all kinds of things at home." She scribbled down a note that might be important in her essay and the bell went to leave. She packed up her stuff and went off for potions. |

Jo walked into the classroom. "Miss Ottina, Late again, I see?" Burbage sighed. "Do you at least have the essay finished?" Jo handed her the essay. "Ah, good, good. But It'll have to be detention for a month... The message just isn't sinking in." Jo went and sat a an empty desk. "Now, who of you have muggle relations?" She asked. Jo put up her hand, along with a couple of others. "Miss, What do you call a muggle-born who marries a Veela?" Jo aksed her. "Thats my grandaparents on mum's side. So my mum is kinda half muggle-born, half veela." Proffessor Burbage looked at her. "Is that so? Yes, well. I don't know. Is your father muggle-born too?" "No, he was a pure blood." The Professor noted the past tense and asked no further questions. "Yes, well. Everyone turn to page 427 and read from the second paragraph down. And copy the notes on muggle entertainment off the board." She waved her wand, And the notes appeared. |
